About

Rosemary Erb is a local Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga teacher and all-the-time practitioner, in the tradition of KPJAYI/Sharath Yoga Centre in Mysuru, Karnataka, India.

Rosemary’s Yoga journey began in 2011 with Yoga Study #30 at the Yoga Center of Minneapolis.. 500 hours later, in August 2013, she participated in a week long Ashtanga Yoga Immersion held by David Swenson, taking a deep dive into Primary Series as a led class- a Vinyasa Yoga sequence taught to a group, with the intention of “Yoga Chikitsa”, or Yoga therapy, to support body and mind on the Yoga path. This led Rosemary to beginning a Mysore Style (AKA self directed) practice with Ashtanga Yoga Minneapolis, One Yoga and Minnehaha Yoga, with three trips to Mysuru, India, to the Sharath Yoga Centre , one in 2017, another in 2019, and 2024.

Since then, Rosemary has taught Primary Series as a led class and held Mysore Rooms in many places in the Twin Cities area. For many people, this is the doorway to a meditative, self-directed practice and community with other practitioners of movement, breath and sustained concentration .

In her off-mat time, Rosemary is a coffee loving, crafty Cat Lady that knits a lot of triangles.
